Radio Unica Communications Corp. announced that Karl Meyer, vice president of west coast sales, has been promoted to senior vice president of integrated marketing.

As senior vice president, Meyer will work with the principals of MASS Promotions, Alicia Martinez-Fonts and Maria Madruga, to provide promotions and merchandising services to clients targeting the U.S. Hispanic market. He will also oversee the development of relationships between MASS and Radio Unica's clients.

Meyer joined Radio Unica from Telemundo, where he served as general sales manager for the network's local station, Channel 52, in Los Angeles. Prior to his work with Telemundo, he worked at Univision where he served as southwest regional sales manager responsible for network and spot sales in San Antonio, Dallas and Houston. With more than 10 years experience in the industry, Meyer launched his career with Conill Advertising in New York.

"Karl has proven himself to be a savvy sales and marketing executive over his successful career," said Jose C. Cancela, president of Radio Unica. "With this promotion, Karl will be responsible for ensuring that we maximize the return from our investment in MASS by spearheading our marketing efforts with new and existing agencies and clients," he added.
