Cruz named GM for WGEN-TV / MundoFox in Miami.

WGEN-TV named Mauricio Cruz the new General Manager for WGEN-TV/Mundo Fox 8.

In the new role, Mauricio Cruz will be overseeing the day-to-day operations for the South Florida station, including business development, production, local promotions, programming, finance and administrative duties. He will report directly to Luis Calle, Vice-President of Operations for News and Sports for Caracol TV.

Prior to his appointment, Mauricio Cruz held various positions with WGEN-TV, including Director of Finance and Finance Manager, where he was responsible for the financial operations of the television station reaching more than 1.5 million households. Previously, Cruz was Finance Manager for Telemundo, where he managed financial operations for the production of non-scripted entertainment programming varieties and specials.
