KMEX-TV Taps Teresa Quevedo As New Weekday Anchor.

Jairo Marin, news director for KMEX-TV announced the incorporation of Teresa Quevedo as the new weekday news anchor for the weekday newscasts of “Noticias 34,” alongside 25-year KMEX veteran anchor Eduardo Quezada, beginning this week.

Quevedo moves to “Noticias 34” weekday newscasts at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. after serving as weekend news anchor and general assignment reporter for KMEX since 1998.

“The integration of Teresa Quevedo to `Noticias 34’s’ weekday newscast is an important move for our news team,” said Marin. “With over 13 years of solid journalistic experience behind her, she will help KMEX to continue providing its viewers with the service, knowledgibility, and no-nonsense news style that has become an integral part of the station’s newscasts in the last 38 years we have been on the air.”

Quevedo rejoined KMEX-TV’s News Department in 1998 after serving as an anchor and reporter for KVEA-TV in Los Angeles. She originally joined KMEX in 1991 as a news anchor. Prior to that, Quevedo served as news director and anchor for KUVN-TV, the Univision affiliate in Dallas, in 1990. In August of 1987, Quevedo worked as a television talk show host for KCOS, a public television station in El Paso, Texas. Her vast broadcast experience includes work in radio, where she served as news director for KVIV-Radio Viva in El Paso, in 1988.
