Semenzato – VP Creative Services @ Cartoon Network LatAM.

Fernando Semenzato has been named vice president of creative services for Cartoon Network Latin America. The announcement was made today by Barry Koch, vice president of Cartoon Network Latin America.

“Fernando and his production team have done an outstanding job creating on-air promotions that capture the imagination of our viewers and attract the notice of professionals throughout the Latin American creative and advertising communities,” said Koch. “He has an exceptional grasp of the challenges and opportunities at hand in the entertainment industry of Latin America.”

In this capacity, Semenzato is responsible for the overall look, feel and tone of the network’s on-air image. His responsibilities include: developing and implementing all on-air promotions in three languages for Cartoon Network’s four regional feeds; writing and producing scripts; coordinating creative projects with the network’s programming, marketing and interactive departments; and managing a production staff of 15.

Semenzato previously held the position of director of creative services for Cartoon Network Latin America. Under his direction, the network has won a total of 13 Promax and BDA awards and a FIAP Award for the “Clearly, the Best Place for Cartoons” campaign.

Prior to joining TBS in 1998, Semenzato was creative director for Publicis Capuro in Argentina where he developed creative concepts for Wal-Mart and Hitachi. He has also held positions as a copywriter for advertising agencies Saatchi & Saatchi and BBDO in Argentina. Throughout his career, Semenzato has worked on numerous internationally recognized accounts including Sony, Pepsi, and Volkswagen. Semenzato holds a degree in copywriting from the Asociación Argentina de Publicidad (AAAP).
