Avenida América, Inc. announced the distribution of the 2004-2005 edition of its Atlanta Spanish yellow pages: Páginas Amarillas de MiAvenida – Atlanta.
“We are pleased that advertisers and consumers have embraced the value that Páginas Amarillas de MiAvenida brings to the marketplace,” said Jose Puente, CEO of Avenida América. “Small businesses appreciate it for its exceptional features and of its affordability and value. Páginas Amarillas de MiAvenida (my avenue) delivers more choices and greater opportunities to everyone and advertisers are thrilled to be able to reach this lucrative market in such a direct and targeted way.”
Sales for the 326-page full-color directory increased by over 300% from the previous year. This growth has added valuable businesses and services to an already comprehensive list of Hispanic-owned and Spanish-friendly business listings in the yellow and white pages. The 2004-2005 directory also includes special content features including an area map and a community information section, which provides useful information on many issues such as how to prepare for a funeral, how to write a check, the immigration exam and the driver’s license test. 75,000 copies of the publication are being distributed to over 2,000 commercial locations and up to 50,000 Hispanic households in the metro Atlanta area.
A unique feature of the directory is the artwork on the cover, a painting of the sun and the moon painted by 10-year old Andres Gonzales, the winner of MiAvenida’s “Annual Latino Children’s Art Contest.”
“We are committed to delivering the best product in the market and have many great things in store for next year’s publication,” said Puente.
Advertisers are also offered the opportunity to promote their businesses on the Internet with Páginas Amarillas de MiAvenida’s companion online product – http://www.miAvenida.com. Key services on miAvenida.com include coupons, website templates, and the ability for advertisers to receive request-for-bids via wireless messaging. MiAvenida.com exposes advertisers to a growing universe of Internet users. According to comScore Media Metrix, there are over 12 million Hispanic Internet users in the US, half of which are fluent Spanish speakers.
