2005 Latino Business Barometer Study.

The Latin Business Association (LBA) is hosted its annual event, the “Sol Business Awards”, on Saturday, May 21, 2005 at The Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles. The LBA announced that the 2005 Sol Awards mark the official release of the 2005 Latino Business Barometer Study prepared by Dr. Raymond Duch from RDA Global. The study was produced in partnership with the Latin Business Association (LBA). This is a valuable tool for all corporations as it provides a clear picture of the full potential of Latino-owned businesses.

The study found that Latino-owned businesses are growing at a compound annual rate of 8.5 %, almost 3 times the rate of overall US firms.

This study is a survey of Hispanic Business Owners and the RDA Global Hispanic Business Database, which contains a wealth of information on the US Hispanic market. The study is an integral contribution to the Hispanic business community in particular for those marketing within the business marketplace. It provides a sound assessment of the size and characteristics of this rapidly growing market segment.

The report features key topics such as the forecast of Hispanic-owned businesses, employment, revenues and payroll projections up to the year 2008. It also presents insight into the Hispanic-business sentiment in the year 2005.
