2009 Honda Player of the Year and Symposium

Presented each year to the Best Player on the U.S. National Soccer Team. Winner to Receive a New 2010 Honda Insight. There will be a special Special Recognition: “HONDA PLAYER OF THE DECADE”. The event will be held on Monday, October 19, 2009 at the Biltmore Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles / Bernard Room.

All Three Finalists Will Participate in the 2009 Honda Player of the Year Award Ceremony:

* Jozy Altidore. First-time finalist of the Honda Player of the Year Award. Since 2007, he scored 8 goals in 20 caps with the U.S. National Team.

* Landon Donovan. The only five-time winner of the Honda Player of the Year Award, he is the all-time goal scorer for the U.S. National Team.

* Tim Howard. Finalist for the third year in a row; this year at the 2009 Confederations Cup, he received the Golden Glove award in recognition as the best goalkeeper of the tournament.
