2010: A Year in Review: A week-by-week look at consumer trends.

2010 was a turbulent year—and that’s putting it modestly. To stay atop of the ever-changing attitudes and behaviors of American consumers, marketers demanded fresher and more actionable insights. Simmons DataStream, launched in January 2010, addressed those demands by providing marketers with weekly updates of nearly 40,000 distinct consumer elements, including brand preferences, media consumption, attitudes, lifestyles and demographics.

Every week in 2010, Experian Simmons leveraged Simmons DataStream to examine a different consumer trend of importance to marketers.
