2021 NY Latino Festival selects Talento Unlimited for Sponsorship Sales & Content Campaign Management

The New York Latino Film Festival (NYLFF), the premier Urban Latino film event in the country, sets its return as the only event of its kind in the New York area this year. With a dynamic line up of films and industry-leading conversations planned for Hispanic Heritage Month 2021, the festival team has selected Miami-based seasoned sponsorship and talent management consultancy, Talento Unlimited, to lead and manage corporate partnerships and branded activations.  PHOTO CAPTION: Chrsity Clavijo-Kish & Michelle Rodriguez- Tapanes of Talento Unlimited with Calixto Chinchilla, founder of the New York Latino Film Festival.

Since its inception in 1999, the NYLFF continues to be a trailblazing movement that produces culturally relevant and entertaining experiences, builds audiences for Latino cinema, supports the film community with professional development and fosters relationships for Latino talent.

The forthcoming live production follows a successful 2020 Covid-safe festival that moved to a completely sold-out, drive-in format and live broadcast event last September that attracted more than 258,000 people online and was heralded as the only Latino event of its kind to physically take place. The NYLFF was also recognized as the first Latino produced Drive-in experience of its size to ever take place in New York. The 2021 experience, while still in its early planning, will allow visitors to social distance while enjoying entertainment and industry panels safely. The Futuro Digital Conference will be held again within the festival programming. This conference unites young multicultural influencers and creatives to discuss how to build their vision for an industry that fosters inclusion of its black and brown voices and film creators.

Given the ambitious planning and line up for the 2021 LIVE festival, the team will partner with Talento Unlimited who is spearheaded by sponsorship management and event direction maven Cristy Clavijo-Kish, a co-founder of Hispanicize. Prior to launching her own firm – Clavijo-Kish built her sponsorship and talent management portfolio working on major partnerships with top brands looking to connect with Latino and communities of color across the country by working with influencers to tell their unique brand stories.

“We are deeply appreciative of our audiences as well as our industry and corporate partners that support the year-round work NYLFF does in engaging and supporting Latino creatives from all over. As the NYLFF brand continues to elevate, I’m excited to partner with Talento Unlimited to further enhance our reach to talent in all content areas and support brand partners that want to reach this highly influential, moviegoing, entertainment-hungry audience, in ways only we can do,” said Calixto Chinchilla, founder of the New York Latino Film Festival.

The 2021 NYLFF is expected to attract even more celebrities, films, and creative talent discoveries. The organization also is exploring a re-launch of its successful touring series with smaller pre and post festival events for Miami and other potential cities to introduce audiences to new film projects and the expected festival programming in NYC.

“Given NYLFF’s legacy as a launchpad for new talent, films and conversation engaging communities of color, I’m excited to put my extensive experience working with national brands and organizations to work helping produce a program that’s supported by the right key corporate sponsors, entertainment brands and studios,” said Cristy Clavijo-Kish, founder of Talento Unlimited.

The Talento Unlimited team will also work with brands and organizational partners to create meaningful activations and opportunities to interact onsite and via digital promotions and content creator initiatives.
