88% of At-Work Americans Ask: What the $%&* is an RSS Feed?

A recent survey conducted by WorkPlace Print Media, the leading marketer to at-work consumers, found that 88% of working Americans don’t know what an RSS Feed is. The technology that the New York Times touted as, “the Internet equivalent of the Sunday paper,” apparently, has a long way to go before it can live up to its billing. Of the respondents, only 9% know what an RSS feed is, and a minuscule 2% said they subscribed to one.

“With more than 100 million employees in the private sector, RSS providers have an enormous market opportunity,” said Dan Wheeler, Director of Business Development for WorkPlace Print Media. “Americans spend more than 60% of their waking hours in the office which provides the RSS providers an advantage over the Sunday papers of the world.”
