Absolut Ritmos Spices Up The Summer.

Absolut Vodka announced the launch of Absolut Ritmos, a program designed to celebrate the rich legacy of Hispanic music and dance. Absolut Ritmos combines both contemporary and classic Latin sounds with traditional dancing and percussion performances, and special drink menus made up of well-known Latin American cocktails with an Absolut twist. The program, which launched earlier this year in Miami, will run from June 9th through August and is made up of 36 events at six locations in Manhattan, The Bronx and Queens. These exciting events will bring to life the sights, sounds and tastes of today’s Latin American culture.

At each Absolut Ritmos event throughout the summer, a team of Latin dancers will take to the floor and perform to the beat of salsa and merengue accompanied by the pulsating rhythms of timbales, congas and bongo drums. Partygoers will also get to experience Absolut Ritmos through the special drinks featured at the events including the ABSOLUT CITRON Mojito and ABSOLUT VANILIA Key Lime Martini.

Absolut Ritmos will kick-off with an evening program for NYC bartenders, nightclub and restaurant owners called the Absolut Akademi designed to educate industry members about the history of the Absolut brand, exciting new drink recipes and serving techniques, and how to prepare special, Absolut-inspired Latin recipes including paella cooked with Absolut Peppar, and cerdo asado marinated in Absolut Kurant.

The integrated program will also be supported throughout the summer by print and radio advertising through partnerships with 105.9FM Latino Mix and NY-based newspaper Hoy.
