Accentmarketing honored with Best of Show at Miami’s 2008 ADDY Awards.

Among the nineteen ADDY’s that were awarded to Accentmarketing during the Advertising Federation of Greater Miami‚s 2008 ADDY Awards ceremony held at Jungle Island on March 1, 2008, Accentmarketing walked away with Best of Show in the Broadcast Non-English Category for Farmers Insurance’s “Future” spot featuring celebrated actor Edward James Olmos.

In “Future”, Olmos is in a futuristic city being chased by a flying motorcycle that’s shooting at him. He arrives at his home while his person, vehicle and home are being shot at – but they all remain intact. Then we see that Olmos is on a movie set. He speaks to the camera, saying that in real life things are not indestructible and that’s why you need Farmers auto, home and life insurance. A unique aspect about this spot is that 75% of it is digitally composed (CGI) including the bike that chases Olmos.

This spot was developed by Accentmarketing’s creative team, led by Diana Ocasio, EVP Creative Director; Peter Sanchez, Associate Creative Director; Rudy Leschhorn, Executive Broadcast Producer; and Mayte Garcia, Senior Copy Writer. The account team was led by Alice Rivera, VP Account Group Director and Emily Preciado-Fonseca, Account Supervisor. The production company for “Future” was Weird Pictures and the spot was directed by Martin Weisz.

“We saw a lot of great work from other agencies and are honored to have been recognized with a Best of Show for our spot,” said Diana Ocasio, EVP Creative Director and Managing Partner at Accentmarketing.
