Active At-Work Net User.

Avenue A reports that net users spend an average of 1.9 hours per day online from work and that 60% of at-work internet users have spent over $100 online in the past three months.
According to a recent home and work internet usage report from Avenue A, US net users who go online both at home and at work spend an average of 4.4 hours online per day — 2.5 of which are spent online at home and 1.9 of which are spent logged on at work. Avenue A finds that the time US net users spend online per day compares to just 3 hours spent watching TV each day and a mere 1 hour spent per day reading newspapers and magazines, respectively.
Avenue A surveyed 3,052 US internet users online between May and June 2002 and asked respondents if they had spent more than $100 online in the past three months. Of those people who answered the survey while at work, 57% said they have spent more than $100 online in the past three months, as opposed to just 48% of those responding to the survey from home.
In fact, 60% of net users who go online at work have spent over $100 online in the past three months, while just 39% of net users who go online at home only say the same.
Indeed at-work net users spend more online than those going online from other locales, according to a January 2002 study from comScore Networks. comscore reported that in 2001, an at-work net user spent $64 more per month, on average, than an at-home user.
And, according to both Morgan Stanley Dean Witter and Forrester, the number of at-work internet users has risen steadily over the past three years.
