AdCouncil.org unveils Spanish-language area.

The Advertising Council announced the launch of a Spanish site area on AdCouncil.org that will help to expand the reach of its public service advertising campaigns to the Spanish-speaking community in the U.S.

“The development of the new site is part of the Ad Council’s continuing commitment to the Hispanic American community,” said Peggy Conlon, President and CEO of the Ad Council. “The new site will serve as a resource for Hispanic Americans looking to learn more about the Ad Council and its campaigns.”

The new area, accessible from the Ad Council’s homepage www.AdCouncil.org, contains history and information about the organization, and highlights all 23 current public service campaigns aimed at the Hispanic community. The site also directs visitors to various resources, such as campaign websites, sponsor information, the PSAs, and includes a link to the PSA El Boletin, a new quarterly newsletter for public service directors that focuses on the Ad Council’s Hispanic-targeted campaigns.

The Ad Council has a long history of reaching out to the Hispanic community, beginning with the launch of its first Spanish-language PSA in 1968, which focused on rehabilitation of the handicapped. Since that time, the organization has been committed to delivering critical messages on education, community, health and safety to the Hispanic population nationwide.
