(add)ventures expands Miami Office

Multidisciplinary brand culture and communications firm (add)ventures  is expanding its Miami office with the addition of Sue Tremblay as vice president of insights/analytics and Joel Velez as director of strategy/creative. Headquartered in Providence, R.I., (add)ventures opened its Miami office in 2008 to expand multicultural brand communication opportunities for client partners.

Tremblay, a Providence resident with more than 20 years of leadership experience in new business development and partner creation – including significant time in South Florida and Latin America – will oversee the Miami office and explore new partnerships and expansion opportunities. She will split her time between Providence and Miami while Velez, a Miami resident, will operate from (add)ventures’ Miami office.

Prior to joining (add)ventures, Tremblay was vice president, account director at Nielsen in New York City, where she managed client services for top broadcast group accounts and was a leader in digital growth.   Previously, Sue served as the business development director of Nielsen’s Business Media unit, and later as vice president of client marketing, where she was responsible for marketing, digital and business development for brands such as Billboard, Hollywood Reporter, Adweek and many others.  Prior to joining Nielsen in 2007, Tremblay was president of Providence-based Creative Circle Advertising Solutions and president of Freedom Communications’ LatinTrade.com in Miami and Mexico City.

She also served as online advertising manager at the Miami Herald and business manager of The Sun magazine in Chapel Hill, N.C.

As director of strategy/creative, Velez is responsible for the strategic plans of (add)ventures’ Miami-based client partners. With thorough knowledge of the firm’s disciplines, Velez will work with client partners to leverage the capability of each discipline to drive business strategy and goals.

Prior to working at (add)ventures, Velez was the interactive marketing director for a cross-cultural marketing and branding firm. There, he created strategic marketing plans that focused on the Latin American and U.S. Hispanic markets for international clients. He also spent four years at Corporate Communications Inc., a full-service agency located in San Juan, Puerto Rico, providing integrated marketing services to clients.

“With their combined talents and diverse experience, Sue and Joel will be tremendous additions to our Miami team,” said Steve Rosa, president/CEO of (add)ventures. “Our Miami office is a gateway to multicultural opportunities for our client partners. With Sue’s connection to Southern Florida and Joel’s international client experience, both will expand our capabilities to better serve our client base and reach new, growing markets.”
