Would you believe Soho in NYC?
Adidas is making a profound statement in dressing the windows of their huge Soho store with messages about their latest sponsorship….the Mexican National Soccer team. It’s one thing for Adidas to unabashedly announce their sponsorship in say, L.A. but here it is the heart of uber trendy NYC…Soho….and fully bilingual (and even a plug for the Mexican team page on myspace). Pretty remarkable and pretty impressive. I don’t think that this would even work in the little “Mexico City enclave” in the Brickell section of Miami. Only in the socially and politically liberal, multicultural metropolis of the Big Apple….
I had to take a second look when I walked by the store this past weekend…
