Aeroméxico Official Airline Of Mexican National Soccer Team In 2006.

Aeroméxico announced that it will be the official airline for the Mexican National Soccer Team in 2006. The airline will be responsible for transporting the national team and its coaches to preliminary matches and the World Cup games scheduled to take place in Germany in June 2006.
According to the agreement, Aeroméxico will provide air travel for the team aboard its own operated flights throughout 2006 beginning in February.
The sponsorship agreement between Aeroméxico and the Mexican Soccer Federation (Federación Mexicana de Fútbol/FEMEXFUT) was signed by José Manuel Díaz de Rivera, Aeroméxico’s Executive Director of Sales and Marketing, and Alberto de la Torre, President of the Mexican Soccer Federation.
“As the nation’s leading international carrier, we are committed to serving the Mexican community and supporting the events they are most interested in,” said Díaz de Rivera. “This agreement reinforces that commitment, and with its international reach, is one that we are especially proud of.”
Alberto de la Torre, president of the Mexican Soccer Federation said, “It is an honor to join forces with Aeroméxico and travel together to the 2006 World Cup in Germany.”
