A new Hispanic Marketing & Public Relations Weblog http://www.hispanicmpr.com for marketing professionals and students was launched recently. Centered on the upcoming Hispanic Marketing & Public Relations book due out later this year, the weblog includes author biographies, Hispanic marketing and public relations news and serves as a forum for authors and visitors to post comments and share insights. The new book provides more than 350 pages of information, case studies, charts, tables, graphs, market data and opinions based on the knowledge of nineteen U.S. Hispanic market experts. Proceeds will benefit the Hispanic Marketing & Communication Association, HMCA. Information on the book, including a list of authors and a pre-publication sign up sheet is available at the HMCA website www.hmca.org and on the new weblog www.hispanicmpr.com .

ANA: Battle of the Brands.

On February 16, 2005, ANA will partner with the Association of Independent Commercial Producers (AICP) to stage the first live branded entertainment competition – “The Battle of the Brands.”

Univision Receives Corporate Excellence Award From New America Alliance.

Univision Communications Inc. announced that it was recognized with the Exemplary Practice of Corporate Governance & Board Diversity Award by the New America Alliance at the organization’s 4th Wall Street Summit held on October 27th – 29th in New York City. Co-President of Univision Television Group, Thomas Arnost, accepted the award on Univision’s behalf.

The Association of National Advertisers today announced the finalists for the 2004 Multicultural Excellence Awards during their Annual Conference at The Ritz-Carlton Naples, in Naples, Florida.

Yzaguirre To Step Down @ NCLR.

The Board of Directors of the National Council of La Raza (NCLR) announcedthat, after 30 years as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Raul Yzaguirre will retire as head of NCLR, effective December 31, 2004.
