Dora la Exploradora, or Dora the Explorer is an animated television series for preschool-age children that is broadcasted on Nickelodeon in the United States. It is based on a 7-year old Hispanic or Latina character and her friends. A pilot episode for this series first aired in 1999, and Dora the Explorer became a regular series in 2000.

The Spanish Language, And How It Influences The Way That Hispanics Think & Behave.
The Sapir- Whorf hypothesis deals with language and what if any impact it has with the user’s behavior. It is said that the way we speak and convey our ideas have an affect on ones thinking and behavior. Language is not separate from culture, but instead a major part of it. In reading about this hypothesis, I have come to realize the language that we speak plays a significant role in how we think and behave.

Carl Jung, who was credited with the Archetype discovery said, “‘Archetype’ is defined as the first original model of which all other similar persons, objects, or concepts are merely derivative, copied, patterned, or emulated”. Family, friends, and culture can all be seen as an Archetype.
Internet advertising grows 30%.
The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) released the Internet Advertising Revenue Report including final numbers for Q3, Q4, and full year 2005. The report states that Search, Classifieds, Display, and Rich Media all continue to grow at a healthy rate. Overall internet advertising revenues (U.S.) for 2005 totaled $12.5 billion, a new annual record exceeding 2004 by 30%. Q4 2005 internet advertising revenues totaled a record $3.6 billion, representing a 34% increase over same period in 2004.

Mercedes Colón, Director of Human Resources, resigned her post at New York’s The Bravo Group, effective April/06.
Colón had joined Bravo after the tumultuous stampede that started with the departure of the Agency’s key leaders between December 2004 and March 2005.
Her mission had been to avert the seeming unstoppable human exodus that has continued there ever since, while trimming positions on dwindling businesses.
Other also leaving are Daniel Orner, Account Supervisor/Mosaica and Ms. Colón’s Human Resources Coordinator, Aimee Perez.
Research Council begins its first study to improve TV audience measurement.
The Council for Research Excellence will soon begin its first detailed study into one of the fundamentals of television audience measurement – the quality of the research samples from which the ratings are drawn.
