A new analysis of monthly Census Bureau data shows a significant decline in the number of less-educated Hispanic immigrants. The report is the first to show systematic evidence that the illegal population is decreasing. There is good evidence that recent immigration enforcement efforts are a key factor causing the decline.

FTC Report sheds new light on Food Marketing to Children and Adolescents.
The Federal Trade Commission announced the results of a study on food marketing to children and adolescents. The report, Marketing Food to Children and Adolescents: A Review of Industry Expenditures, Activities, and Self-Regulation, finds that 44 major food and beverage marketers spent $1.6 billion to promote their products to children under 12 and adolescents ages 12 to 17 in the United States in 2006.
Burger King presents Futbol Kingdom.
Burger King Corp. announced the roll-out of Futbol Kingdom street level futbol events to be held in eight markets across the United States throughout August and September 2008. The interactive Futbol Kingdom experience is designed to reach key Spanish markets as well as 2nd and 3rd generation Hispanics on a national level.

A Wall Street analyst offered an endorsement Friday for Univision’s efforts to extract significant retransmission consent fees from cable operators, going so far as to suggest that Time Warner Cable could suffer from the Spanish-language broadcaster’s demands.
