al Punto Advertising Finalists For Latin American Silver Shell Award.

Tustin-based al Punto Advertising was announced as a finalist for the coveted Latin American Caracol de Plata award in the print and radio categories at the annual Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City. This prestigious recognition was awarded to advertising agencies for creative work and campaigns that have a positive social impact for non-profit organizations. The submissions from al Punto proved to have all of the right winning ingredients; originality, content and transcendence.

al Punto received top honors for their Coalition on Donation radio ad, titled Pajarito, which demonstrates the need for organ donation and features an insightful and heartfelt aspect of donating organs to children. The second ad, in the print category, for Florida Freedom Partnership, titled Manos, raises the sensitive issue of human trafficking, and draws attention to its sinister presence in contemporary times. “This is great creative work, and it’s fantastic to be recognized by the industry,” stated Eduardo Bottger, President and Creative Director, “but it’s even better to know we are making a difference in someone else’s life.”

Caracol de Plata is a non-profit organization created by the private sector in 1999. For the celebration of its first lustrum it has developed two new projects: the University Program, orientated to students in Latin America , with the collaboration of the Latin American Federation of Communication Faculties (FELAFACS) and another program specifically addressed to companies, to be announced during the last quarter of 2004.
