AlDiaTX.com Wins Edward R. Murrow Award.

AlDiaTX.com, the Web site associated with the Spanish language newspaper, Al Día, was honored with the Edward R. Murrow Award for best non-broadcast Web site by the Radio-Television News Directors Association and Foundation (RTNDA).

“It is an honor to be the inaugural recipient of the Murrow Award for best non-broadcast affiliated Web site, less than one year since the launch of AlDiaTX.com,” said Gilbert Bailón, editor and publisher of Al Día. “Winning this prestigious award is a great credit to our staff who creates the content and the dedicated Belo Interactive staff who produces the web site every day. It shows that Spanish-language news web sites can be high quality, innovative and essential in serving the rapidly changing U.S. population, especially in the Southwest, and highlight’s Belo’s commitment to serve the Hispanic community.”
