Alex López Negrette Honored By Houston Hispanic Chamber Of Commerce.

The Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (HHCC) named Alex López Negrete Chairman Emeritus at the recently held 18th Annual ¡Triunfando! Awards Gala at the Westin Galleria.
“He has selflessly and tirelessly provided an immeasurable amount of leadership, direction, insights, passion, and elbow grease to our Chamber for more than 12 years. As the Board reviewed his contributions and considered the most appropriate recognition, the Chairman Emeritus designation, the highest honor we can present was the most fitting,” said Massey Villarreal, HHCC Chairman.
On the same evening, Lopez Negrete was also recognized by the National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) in San Antonio as the 2001 Brillante Award Recipient in the Entrepreneur Category.
The Brillante Award is the most prestigious honor granted by the Society and is given in recognition of exceptional contributions to the Hispanic community in keeping with the organization’s mission “to foster Hispanic leadership through graduate management education and professional development in order to improve society.”
“Brillante Award recipients are distinguished as experts in their fields. Alex has demonstrated strong leadership capabilities, resilience to adapt and overcome obstacles with effective and innovative solutions while making significant impact in the business world,” said Jaime Ornelas, Chair-National NSHMBA Board of Directors. “This years Brillante Award program was especially competitive considering we had the most nominees ever.”
