REVOLUCIÓN announced the promotion of Kerri Allen to Director of Public Relations. She will oversee the public relations management of the agency and its clients by developing and executing regional and national publicity plans. Ms. Allen will report to the agency’s Chief Planning Officer, Federico L. Mejer.
“Kerri was integral to our public relations successes in 2007,” says Mejer. “We are pleased to elevate her role in the agency and share her expertise with our clients. Her understanding of both sides of the industry, as both a journalist and publicist, gives Kerri a unique edge in the industry.”
Ms. Allen began work with REVOLUCIÓN as a PR Account Executive, handling such accounts as HBO Latino and providing counsel to senior management on public relations matters. She previously worked as a freelance journalist, penning more than 200 articles on the arts and U.S.-Hispanic culture for The New York Times, Time Out New York, Latino Leaders magazine, and many others. From 2002 through 2005, Ms. Allen served as Assistant Director of Marketing and PR for The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, where she created the Latino Initiative to reach the growing Hispanic demographic in northern New Jersey.
