Allstate brings the Mexican National Team Sweepstakes.

As the Mexican National Team (MNT) prepares for the highly-anticipated April 16 exhibition match against China at Seattle’s Qwest Field, Allstate announced the details of its “Your Best Play with Allstate and Zague” consumer sweepstakes.

Created to bring adult fans closer to a legend of “the beautiful game,” the promotion gives consumers the chance to win an all-expense-paid trip for two to Miami, Fla., for a special dinner with one of the most exciting soccer players in history — former MNT captain Luis Roberto Alves “Zague” — as well as the a unique opportunity to join him for an appearance on a Spanish-language network television show.

“Your Best Play with Allstate and Zague” officially ‘kicks off’ on April 16, 2008, with the “Fútbol Fiesta” celebration to be held outside Qwest Field prior to the Mexico vs. China match. In addition to live music, soccer-themed games and premium giveaways, the free-to-the-public event will feature a special guest appearance by the legendary “Zague,” as he meets fans, signs autographs and discusses the importance of protection on and off the field.

“Allstate understands the rich tradition and heritage of Mexican National Team soccer, and we’re inspired by the millions of fans that form its passionate following here in the United States,” said Sergio Reyes, Allstate agent. “As a proud sponsor of the Federación Mexicana de Fútbol (FMF), we’re delighted to share in the celebration of the 2008 U.S. tour of ‘El Tricolor’ with our “Your Best Play with Allstate and Zague” sweepstakes, which gives fans the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime experience with ‘Zague,’ one of the greatest players to ever wear the green, white and red.”

To enter the “Your Best Play with Allstate and Zague” sweepstakes, adult fans can enter onsite at any of the MNT games where Allstate is present or online by visiting www.ElTricolor.com, the official web site of Allstate’s sponsorship of the MNT, from April 16 through September 24.

“With so much excitement surrounding this year’s U.S. tour, I’m thrilled to once again team up with my friends at Allstate, a company that’s always been committed to the Hispanic community,” commented “Zague.” “I look forward to joining the thousands of fans in Seattle, and I can’t wait to meet the winners of the “Your Best Play with Allstate and Zague” promotion in Miami.”

The 2008 season represents the second consecutive year that Allstate has served as a “patrocinador oficial” of the Federacion Mexicana de Futbol. In addition to the April 16 match against China, the Mexican National Team will play four additional exhibition matches on U.S. soil, including contests against Argentina on June 4 in San Diego and June 8 against Peru in Chicago. The two final games of the tour will be announced in the near future.
