Alma revamps production department with new leadership and hires

Miami-based multicultural advertising agency, Alma, appoints Rodrigo Vargas as the new Director of Production, along with two new hires to the team. Vargas brings 20 years of extensive production experience to his new position at Alma. He has been with the agency almost 5 years as Executive Producer, and boasts an extensive portfolio of award-winning work for clients such as McDonald’s, Rosetta Stone, and Clorox.

“Our culture is to promote from within whenever we see the opportunity, and Rodrigo was the natural fit as the agency’s new Production Director,” said agency President and Chief Creative Officer Luis Miguel Messianu. “His experience and work is highly valued in the industry. He understands where we’ve been and where we want to go, which makes Rodrigo a great visionary asset to Alma and our culture.”

Rodrigo has been instrumental in executing several awarded campaigns for Alma. Most recently, he produced “Glad Tent,” which garnered countless awards, including two Lions at Cannes and Adweek’s Project Isaac for Innovation at the Clio awards. Another TV spot
produced by him, McDonald’s “First Customer,” won 2 Silver FIAP awards, 2 Gold and 1 Grand Prix at Festival Caribe, and a Gold prize at USH Ideas.

Alma is also boasting two new additions to their production team, Ximena Aguirre (Senior Producer) and Marcos Andres Arguello (Producer). Both share strong, integrated production experience that will enhance our creative team. Aguirre joins the team from Lapiz Leo Burnett Chicago, and before that she worked at Leo Burnett in Mexico, bringing an abundance of general and Hispanic market knowledge. Arguello comes from La Comunidad in Miami and started his career at Latinworks.
