Amaya promoted to Sr Director of Programming Acquisitions at Tr3s.

Viacom International Media Networks – The Americas (VIMN) announces the promotion of Marisol Amaya, currently Director of Programming Acquisitions for MTV, VH1 & Comedy Central Latin America, to Senior Director of Programming Acquisitions, expanding her role to include Tr3s in the US Hispanic market. In this newly extended role, Marisol is in charge of acquiring high-quality and innovative content to ensure mission and strategic relevance across all brands, while providing insight to inform programming decisions and overall strategy. Based in Miami she will have a dual-report into Fernando Gaston, Brand Manager for Tr3s and MTV Latin America, as well as Federico Cuervo, Brand Manager of Comedy Central and VH1 Latin America.

Previously, Marisol was Director of Programming Acquisitions for Comedy Central Latin America, spearheading the network’s programming acquisition strategy for the company’s youth & entertainment and adult division in Latin America. Prior to joining VIMN-The Americas, she was Acquisitions Manager for HBO Latin America, in charge of evaluating and acquiring content for the network’s operations in Latin America, Brazil and the Caribbean. From 2006-2010, she served as Program Acquisitions Specialist for Discovery Networks Latin America, responsible for the acquisition of high-value video programming content for three Lifestyle/Entertainment nets – People + Arts, Home and Health and Travel & Living.
