Cosmetologists Chicago proudly announces the first annual America’s Latino Beauty Congress to be held September 22-23, 2002 at the Chicago Marriott, 540 N. Michigan Ave. This is the first beauty event in the Midwest targeted exclusively to the Hispanic salon professional …it is estimated that 30-40% of all new beauty school enrollees are Latino! America’s Latino Beauty Congress will feature bilingual education and the latest hair styling and beauty techniques presented by international beauty stars including Ramon Bacaui (Matrix), Paul Vega, Juan Lira and Robert Curiel (Clairol), the Paul Mitchell Latino Team, Aurora and Christina Jimenez from Mexico City (ISO) and Gabriela Delgadillo from Guadalajara, Mexico and Javier Rivera from Puerto Rico (Sexy Hair Concepts).

In addition to a fashion show of hot designs by Latino designers, the Latino New Talent Showcase (Sunday, September 22) competition will showcase the innovative and creative talent of the Latino hair stylist , the winner will receive $1,500 from Clairol and will be a featured artist at the prestigious Chicago Midwest Beauty Show to be held March 2003. Designed to develop the colorful creative artistry within the Latino community that can be utilized in professional hair shows all over the country, the Latino New Talent Showcase is open to family and friends of the professional salon artist.
