ANA 2002 Multicultural Marketing Conference In San Francisco.

The 2002 ANA (Association of National Advertisers) Multicultural Marketing Conference will be held November 3-5 in San Francisco, America’s most multicultural city. The event is programmed by members of the ANA Multicultural Marketing Committee – a group of more than 60 individuals, representing a variety of elite corporate marketers. Now in its fourth year, the ANA Multicultural Marketing Conference has become the industry’s premier multicultural event.

For client-side marketers, this conference provides the opportunity for unparalleled peer-to-peer learning from your colleagues at other client-side organizations (who will share their experiences in multicultural marketing with you) as well as other industry experts. Again, this is the conference programmed by clients, especially for clients.

Agencies and others involved with multicultural marketing would also benefit from attending. You’ll not only get rich insights on the client perspective on multicultural marketing, but you’ll also build a network of valuable contacts.

The 2001 ANA Multicultural Marketing Conference in Miami was one of the highest ranked conferences, ever, in the history of the ANA. (If you were there, you know how special it was!) This year’s conference has the potential to be even better. Agenda items will include:

· Asian Market Cultural Immersion Tour: This “field trip will provide the opportunity to witness the extensive Asian population of San Francisco firsthand.

· Selling Multicultural Marketing Internally: Often the biggest challenge in multicultural marketing comes from “inside” a company. Two members of the ANA Multicultural Marketing Committee (from Ford and Wachovia) will share their learning.

Two ANA Multicultural Marketing Committee members (from Masterfoods and Verizon) will share perspective on measuring the value of their multicultural marketing programs.

· Future Trends in Multicultural Marketing: Get insights on “what’s next” in multicultural marketing from an all-star panel of experts.

· Mistakes to Avoid & Lessons Learned in the Asian Market: Sometimes the best learning comes from reviewing mistakes, rather than success stories.

· Gay / Lesbian Marketing: This session will provide an overview of the segment and a case study of how a mainstream brand entered the gay / lesbian market.
