Apply Online For The Inaugural Repúblicares Probono Initiative

República has launched the official registration web portal for Repúblicares, the agency’s new annual social responsibility initiative created to award one year of pro bono expertise to a deserving organization within the continental United States and Puerto Rico.

With the launch of www.republicares.net, the agency is now accepting submissions from any interested IRS-designated 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization – large or small – to win República’s services for a year. Applicants must provide answers to several initial questions, including mission statement, scope of advertising and communication needs, and why they are most deserving of this opportunity. All submissions must be completed by 5 p.m. ET Friday, July 20, 2012, and the winning organization will be selected by República’s employees and announced this fall.

Nielsen and Google have joined the Repúblicares effort as supporters. Nielsen will provide key insights and research to help execute the goals of the selected organization, while Google will provide tools and resources to help expand its impact online.

“At República, we believe that to whom much is given, much is expected, and that drives our commitment to help others and empower them to succeed,” said República Chairman and CEO Jorge A. Plasencia. “Repúblicares will give our employees the opportunity of selecting an organization that could benefit greatly from our talent and expertise.”

Since its inception, República has fostered a culture of giving back, providing pro bono services to numerous local and national nonprofits and community initiatives, including St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, City Year, Volunteer USA Foundation, The Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy, National Council of La Raza, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, the International Hispanic Theatre Festival/Teatro Avante, the William J. Clinton Foundation, Miami Dade College Foundation, Miami Dolphins Foundation, the U.S. Department of State and Amigos For Kids.
