Atlanta Seminar March 8 on Best Practices in Hispanic Media Relations & Measurement.

Hispanic PR Wire, the Georgia Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), LatinClips and HispanicAd.com are hosting an in-depth, professional development seminar in Atlanta on Thursday, March 8 titled “From Media Relations to Measurement: Maximizing Your Hispanic PR Initiatives in 2007.” The program will feature LatinClips CEO Christine Clavijo-Kish and Hispanic PR Wire Corporate Communications Manager and PRSA’s Miami Chapter President Natalia Flores, APR in a presentation that is traveling to dozens of PRSA chapters during the “2007 Hispanic PR & Marketing Strategies Tour.”

The seminar will feature insights, tactics and tools for execution and measurement of a successful Hispanic market public relations program with a concentration on media relations. Tips on setting goals and benchmarking Hispanic initiatives also will be discussed. Attendees will receive tip sheets for pitching local media as well as handouts on award-winning Hispanic PR case studies and media profiles.

CHRISTINE CLAVIJO-KISH

Christine Clavijo-Kish is CEO of LatinClips, the nation’s leading Hispanic news monitoring and analysis company. She directs all sales and marketing strategies, and jointly oversees the overall operations and client services for the company. Clavijo-Kish also is a founding partner of Hispanic PR Wire and co-publisher of the Hispanic PR Monitor- the nation’s only trade e-newsletter dedicated to the Hispanic marketing and PR industry. She is a board member of the Hispanic Marketing & Communications Association and serves on special committees for Amigos Together for Kids and the Miami chapter of PRSA. Cristy has spent more than 10 years as a public relations and marketing practitioner and is an expert in developing multicultural, multilingual strategies and promotions for the U.S. Hispanic and Latin American markets.

Prior to HPRW, she was practice leader and vice president of Porter Novelli’s Multicultural Marketing Practice. During her tenure with the firm, she was a founding member of the practice and developed its staff and client services for nearly three years.

NATALIA FLORES. APR

Natalia A. Flores, APR is the corporate communications manager for Hispanic PR Wire, Inc and is currently the president of the Miami chapter of PRSA. She is responsible for managing and directing the marketing and public relations strategies for Hispanic PR Wire, Inc and sister companies LatinClips, Hispanic Digital Network, ConTexto Latino and Hispanic Market Pro. She is the managing director of Hispanic Market Pro (HMP), which is a series of monthly national educational teleseminars for advertising and public relations executives on reaching the burgeoning Hispanic market. Flores has public relations experience with local, national and international communications outreach as well as event planning and coordination while working at top-notch global agencies Burson-Marsteller and Porter Novelli in Florida.

Flores has worked on award-winning campaigns including the 4th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards show in Miami and a strategic financial restructuring communications campaign for NII Holdings (formerly Nextel International), which have garnered accolades and honorable mentions from PRSA Silver Anvil, PRWEEK, SABRE, Bulldog Reporter, and The Association for Women in Communications’ Clarion Awards.
