Audio Today 2014 – HISPANICS [REPORT]

The April 2014 Audio Today report reveals that the national radio listening audience has hit an all-time high, with over 244 million Americans (age 12 or older) tuning in each week.  We also devote the majority of the report to examining the 40 million Hispanic listeners who happen to be radio’s most engaged listeners.
 
A few selected highlights from the April 2014 Audio Today report:
 

  • Hispanic audiences have also reached an all-time high; 40 million of radio’s weekly national listeners are Hispanic.
  • Radio reaches 93.5% of all Hispanics (12+) in the United States on a weekly basis and 93.4% of Hispanic Millenials (18-34) as well.
  • Hispanic audiences spend more than 12 hours each week with radio; they are the medium’s most engaged listeners, in markets both large and small.
  • Among Hispanics, Mexican Regional was the most listened-to format last year, followed by Pop Contemporary Hit Radio and Spanish Contemporary + Spanish Hot Adult Contemporary.
