Azteca America Philadelphia launches on DirecTV.

WZPA, Channel 33 will be carried by DirecTV in its local broadcasting package on channel 33. DirecTV subscribers residing in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey and surrounding areas will be able to view all of Azteca America’s programming on DirecTV. WZPA is operated by Una Vez Mas, LP, the largest group owner of Azteca America affiliated television stations. According to Nielsen Media Research, Philadelphia is the nation’s 18th largest Hispanic television market.

The launch will give DirecTV viewers in Philadelphia an opportunity to view exclusive live games of the opening Apertura 2007 season of the Mexican Soccer league on Azteca America beginning August 3, 2007.
