Azteca América re-organizes marketing and affiliate marketing departments.

Karen Davis, will step down as Executive Vice President of Azteca América Marketing and Affiliate Relations to assume a newly-created role as strategic consultant. This is part of an executive plan to enable Azteca America to take advantage of market opportunities and bring costs more in-line with today’s economic realities in this rapidly changing and challenging environment.  

“Helping the network navigate through these rough economic waters is my priority right now. Tending to our partnerships with other media outlets and maintaining our strategic relationships is where I will concentrate my time,”  Davis announced.

Additionally, Juan Pablo Alvarez, currently Manager, Affiliate Relations has been named Director of Affiliate Relations, taking on more day to day responsibility for supporting the sixty seven markets in which the network is aired on broadcast television.

CEO Adrian Steckel commented, “In naming Juan Pablo Alvarez to Director and creating a consulting position for Karen we believe we are doing what is needed to sustain our business as one that is valued by our viewers, affiliates and advertisers alike.”

Today’s repositioning also included some lay-offs, including Director of Communications, Monica Taher and Coordinator Ninneth Martinez.
