Azteca America Signs With Nielsen.

Azteca America is now a limited coverage Spanish-language broadcast network to be monitored by Nielsen Media Research’s Hispanic Service. A limited coverage network consists of a minimum of 15 hours of programming per week with a national coverage greater than or equal to 30%, but less than 70% of U.S. Hispanic television households.

“We are committed to ensuring that our clients continue to receive the highest quality of information available,” said Doug Darfield, senior vice president of Hispanic Services for Nielsen Media Research. “The addition of Azteca America to our service offers our clients even more of an extended insight into Spanish-language television.”

“This is one of many steps that we are rapidly taking to establish ourselves as a serious network competitor in the growing Hispanic market,” said Azteca America President and CEO Luis Echarte.
