Azteca America Weekend Soccer ranks.

Azteca America announced stellar audiences for its live weekend Mexican League Soccer (FLM) games.

The 1.1 million viewers ages two or older for the Cruz Azul-Chivas game and the 948,000 viewers of Veracruz-America on Feb. 10 were ranked numbers 20 and 22, respectively, for the week ending Feb. 11 when collapsing strip programs.
The classic rivalry between Cruz Azul and the Chivas of Guadalajara was especially strong with male audiences, where Azteca America outpaced Univision, Telemundo and Telefutura with men ages 18-49 during the 6 pm – 8 pm timeslot, according to Nielsen’s NHTI data.

“Our expanded footprint and stellar soccer programming are a powerful combination,” said Luis J. Echarte, Chairman of Azteca America.

Meanwhile, the matchup of Veracruz vs. America surpassed Telefutura and Telemundo with key male audiences ages 18-49, 18-34 and 25-54 in the 8 pm- 10 pm timeslot.
