Banco Popular Turns Branch Into An Art Gallery @ PR Parade.
May 13, 2005
Banco Popular North America (BPNA) kicked off the National Puerto Rican Day Parade festivities with the unveiling of “Un Verano en Nueva York – Serie Los Emigrantes” by famed Puerto Rican artist Antonio Cortés. Banco Popular started this tradition four years ago by transforming its Rockefeller Plaza branch into an art gallery — as it continues to do business — allowing customers and guests to enjoy paintings from well-known Puerto Rican artists.
“We are proud to say that for forty-two years, Banco Popular has been a proud supporter of the Puerto Rican Day parade,” said Michele Imbasciani, Banco Popular’s New York Metro Region Executive. “With the unveiling of ‘Los Emigrantes,’ we join the National Puerto Rican Day Parade’s theme of ‘celebrating our culture and experiences’ while we fulfill our vision of becoming the premier community bank in the markets we serve.”
The exhibit will be on display at Banco Popular’s Rockefeller Center branch, located at 7 West 51st Street in Manhattan and will remain open during regular banking hours from 8:30 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. until Friday, June 17. The exhibit will also travel to other key markets including Orlando and Chicago.
