Bandamax unveils programming lineup for 2010.

TuTv, a joint venture of Grupo Televisa and Univision Communications Inc., announced that Bandamax, a network featuring Regional Mexican music programming, has launched a new original programming lineup.
 
Seven new entertainment programs including  “Sergio me las pone” (Sergio Plays the Hits), “Bohemiamente Chicuela” (Chicuela the Bohemian), “La Cantina del Tunco Maclovich” (Tunco Maclovich’s Cantina), “Secreto a Voces” (Secret Spoken Aloud), “Sorrajale Compadre” (Hit it Amigo), among others, are designed to draw viewers into the Regional Mexican music world in an innovative and entertaining way, through intimate interviews, comedy and more interactive programming.
 
The new shows, which feature many of the popular Bandamax cast like Cynthia Urias, Sergio Machado, Lizette Briones, Blanca Martínez, Joselyn Juncal and Polo Morarrez, will also debut Israel Jaitovich into the Regional Mexican music world through a comedy show.
 
The new productions consist of:
 
Pa’La Banda Night Show (For the Band Night Show):  Cynthia Urias will host a live music show and interviews with special guests from the Regional Mexican music world, in addition to the latest news and trends in Regional Mexican fashion, thanks to a collaboration with Arturo Rivera, an industry public relations rep, and designer Vero Solís. The show will air on Mondays at 8:00 PM PT/11:00 PM ET.
 
Sergio me las pone (Sergio Plays the Hits):  Sergio Machado, the irresistible Brazilian, will host this new show targeted at musical admirers by taking viewers’ on-air requests. The show will air on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 4:30 PM PT/7:30 PM ET.
 
Al Sazón de la Música (The Flavor of Music):  From the city of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Lizette Briones cooks with celebrities while she interviews them in their own homes, allowing viewers a first-hand look at their favorite bands’ and singers’ kitchens and highlighting another side of these idols. The show will air Tuesdays at 7:00 PM PT/10:00 PM ET.
Bohemiamente Chicuela (Chicuela the Bohemian):  Blanca “La Chicuela” Díaz conducts personal and intimate interviews with song writers and gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the success of the songs we love, but are rarely known to the public.  The show airs on Tuesdays at 8:00 PM PT/11:00 PM ET.
 
La Cantina del Tunco Maclovich (Tunco Maclovich’s Cantina): With his wonderful sense of humor, Israel Jaitovich, joins the Regional Mexican music world with the character, “El Tunco Maclovich”. La Cantina is a fun and hilarious space with musical recommendations, jokes, analysis of song lyrics, and many other elements.  The show airs on Wednesdays at 8:00 PM PT/11:00 PM ET.
 
Secreto a Voces (Secret Spoken Aloud):  This new documentary-style program, hosted by Joselyn Juncal, introduces viewers to the history of the bands and personalities that are a part of the Regional Mexican music world.  The show airs on Thursdays at 8:00 PM PT/11:00 PM ET.
 
Sorrajale Compadre (Hit it Amigo):  Hosted by Polo Morranez, “Sorrájale Compadre” talks about social topics like infidelity, love and machismo, among others.  In addition, he presents Regional Mexican music videos that reflect the topic of the day.  Polo will be in touch with the public via email, with the purpose of interacting and commenting on the audience’s opinions.  The show airs on Thursdays at 6:00 PM PT/9:00 PM ET.
