Liberman Broadcasting Inc. (LBI) has appointed Jim Baral as Senior Vice President, Integrated Sales West Coast. Baral will be based in LBI’s Burbank headquarters.
He joins LBI from Univision, where he served as Network VP Sales & Marketing West Coast since 1998. During his fourteen-year tenure, Baral helped to build its integrated sales operations, created and implemented innovative marketing solutions and established successful consultative relationships with west coast clients and agencies for Univision’s three Networks.
He began his media career as an Account Executive with Petry Television where he was promoted to Group Vice President representing premiere media ownership groups including Fox, Tribune, Belo and Post-Newsweek. As part of his responsibilities at Petry, Baral led advertiser sales on behalf of such top sports and entertainment franchises as the Dodgers, Bulls, Suns, Chargers, Olympics, Super Bowl, Emmy’s, Academy Awards and major prime-time series.
He was recruited by privately held television station representation firm, MMT as a partner and headed up the company’s Western Regional operations. After MMT’s merger with Cox Media, Baral joined Cox-owned broadcast rep firm, Harrington, Righter and Parsons as VP of Sales and Marketing leading five offices.
“We are excited to have Jim join the Estrella TV team,” says Judy Kenny, Estrella’s EVP of Network Sales and Marketing. “During Jim’s 14 years with Univision in Los Angeles, he established a hands-on, collaborative culture and developed custom branded and integrated cross-media solutions for his LA based marketing partners. Those skills are a perfect fit for Liberman Broadcasting and Estrella TV. Because we produce all of our top-rated programming in-house, Jim will be able to super-serve our clients with unique brand integration and custom content solutions.”
