November 18, 2001
Beck’s NA, the United States’ recently announced that Catalano, Lellos and Silverstein (CL&S) New York has been selected as its interactive agency of record. CL&S will manage all of Becks’ online activity, including its online creative
development, website design and digital marketing efforts. Through Beck’s NA, CL&S will also work in tandem with Beck’s offline agencies of record to deliver a brand-focused, integrated advertising and promotional end solution.
CL&S’ most recent work for Beck’s was its creation of a branded “advertainment” micro-site, which was developed in support of Beck’s Oktoberfest Celebration promotional event. This media-rich micro-site encouraged consumers to experience a German-American variation of a German Oktoberfest celebration. This CL&S work was recently awarded the Best Direct
Response Campaign by @d:tech at the 5th Annual @d:tech Awards on December 4 in New York City. The @d:tech Awards salute the top campaigns, technologies and services in the interactive advertising and marketing industry.
“Our work with CL&S is a true partnership,” said Rainer Meyrer, Beck’s North America’s vice president of marketing. “We understand the importance of reaching our consumers in all mediums and CL&S helps us do just that. They have demonstrated success in reaching our target audience in a number of innovative ways.”
“We believe our work for Beck’s NA shows the value of online efforts, especially when tightly integrated with a brand’s offline campaign elements”said Frank D’Angelo, partner CL&S. “We are fortunate to have a client who believes and supports this drive for integrated messaging.”
