Bela Launches KEJR-TV To Target Hispanics In Phoenix.

Bela Broadcasting, LLC, announced the launch of a second Spanish-language television station, KEJR-TV Channel 43 in Phoenix. KEJR-TV, targeting the emerging, local 18-34 Latino demographic with a mix of children’ s programming, Spanish-language movies, urban music and entertainment and the ever popular “Atrevete” variety game-show will begin airing its original programming on Monday, October 31st.

“Through KEJR-TV and KMOH-TV we will be able to broadcast original Spanish-Language programming throughout the heart of the Phoenix Latino DMA,” says Robert Behar, television industry veteran and president and CEO of Bela Broadcasting, LLC. “We’re focused on reaching that growing and elusive, locally-based 18-34 year old demographic with programming options that are consistent with today’s new Latino culture and lifestyle. We are committed to creating and providing relevant programming to this audience – it’s what this market has been missing.”

The launch of KEJR-TV was made possible through Bela Broadcasting’s purchase of KQBN-TV, from Poquito Mas, LLC.

“We are tapping into a local, underserved market of decision makers and trendsetters with disposable income,” says Mara Rankin, general manager for all Bela Broadcasting stations. “The 18-34 demographic is one of the most desirable demographics for advertisers and by giving them access to this audience; we become a vital component to any comprehensive local market buy.”
