The Billboard Music Awards draws 5.3M viewers on Telemundo.

Telemundo announced its results for The Billboard Latin Music Awards Presented by State Farm, which on Thursday, April 29th at 8pm EST.

According to Nielsen Media Research data, The Billboard Latin Music Awards Presented by State Farm drew over 5.3 million viewers (Persons 2 plus), the third year in a row that the awards show reached more than 5 million viewers. More than 3.2 million Adults 18-49 tuned in, also the third consecutive year that the broadcast reached over 3 million viewers in this key demographic.

The 2010 Billboard Latin Music Awards Presented by State Farm had one of the show’s highest deliveries in its 12-year history on Telemundo among Adults 18-49, Women 18-49 and Men 18-49. The broadcast averaged 1,254,000 Households, a plus10% over 2009 (1,141,000).

In New York, the awards show was #1 across all stations among Adults 18-34 and #1 among Spanish-language stations with Adults 18-49. The Chicago, San Francisco and Las Vegas markets delivered their strongest Billboard ratings since 2004.

On the Digital front, WWW.TELEMUNDO.COM also had a strong performance with over 500,000 unique users up 29% from 2009 and 9 million page views up 2% from 2009.  The 2010 Billboard Latin Music Awards Presented by State Farm also generated over 2 million pageviews on Twitter and had 200,000 unique users.
