Breaking News Enters Realm Of Telemundo Novela ‘El Alma Herida’.

Telemundo’s prime-time novela “El Alma Herida” incorporates footage from President Bush’s recent speech regarding his new immigration plan as part of its storyline. The episode aired this Wednesday, January 14 at 9PM/8c.

“Telemundo has pledged to offer viewers original productions featuring storylines that affect their lives,” said Ramon Escobar, Executive Vice President of Programming and Production for the network. “The decision to include President Bush’s recent speech on immigration, which will affect millions of U.S. Hispanics, is a perfect example of our commitment.”

The scene features Frank (Damián Alcázar), a Mexican who illegally crossed the border years ago, while he debates about the proposed immigration policy with a client, while his television set shows the President during his speech on MSNBC.
