Bromley chooses Education as a fundraising focus for the holidays.

To ORIGINATE CHANGE in our community, Bromley plans to conduct a fundraising campaign through social media on behalf of Communities In Schools of San Antonio. The month-long campaign will launch during the Christmas holidays beginning December 12. Education is an important focus for the agency and Communities In Schools places an emphasis on working with students that empower them with the tools they need to succeed.

“We selected Communities In Schools because they ORIGINATE CHANGE in the lives of students by providing community support, and the necessary tools that empower them to stay focused on school” says Ernest Bromley, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bromley. “Communities In Schools keeps students centered on the prize…graduation and higher education as a goal.”

In 2000, the Texas Labor Force conducted a study demonstrating the Hispanic population in Texas will be the minority majority by 2040. Projections indicate its labor force will not be prepared to enter white or blue-collar jobs in the future. This is a concern for not only Bromley as a local ad agency to be able to find talent from the pool of upcoming marketing and advertising graduates, but it’s also a concern for many small, medium to large businesses locally, regionally and state wide.

“We are honored to be selected as Bromley’s recipient of its Holiday fundraiser,” says Jessica Weaver, Interim Chief Executive Officer for Communities In Schools of San Antonio. “As ORIGINATORS OF CHANGE, we believe every child needs and deserves a safe place to learn and grow; a chance to give back to peers and community a healthy start and a healthy future and a marketable skill to use upon graduation that works through a community that cares. For 27 years we have been KEEPING KIDS IN SCHOOL in Bexar County, unlocking their potential to succeed.”

Bromley will set up its fundraising campaign on its Facebook page at . To donate to CommunitiesIn Schools, Bromley asks for visitors to “LIKE” its Facebook page; in turn, the agency will donate one dollar for every “LIKE” to Communities In Schools of San Antonio for a total donation of up to $5,000. The campaign kicks off December 12 and runs through January 12, 2012.
