The Bronx Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Inc. and The Hip Hop Summit Action Network will join forces to expand outreach and engage Latino youths by launching the first ever Latino Hip-Hop Summit to be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at Lehman College in Bronx, NY.

The Latino Hip Hop Summit will be the first event of its kind. The summit will serve as a platform for dialogue between the artists and youth to discuss a variety of issues including the historical contributions of Latinos to the evolution of Hip-Hop and the importance of youth voter registration.

“We are excited to partner with Russell Simmons and the Hip Hop Summit Action Network because we saw an opportunity to educate our Hispanic youth through the Latino Hip Hop Summit,” said Frank García, president for the Bronx Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Inc. “We will utilize the power of Reggeaton and Latino Hip Hop music to reach our Hispanic youth and encourage them to register to vote.”
