Canales named VP & GM of Univision Radio Dallas.

Univision Radio announced the appointment of Cesar Canales as vice president and general manager of the Dallas cluster of Univision Radio stations. Canales will be based in Dallas and will report to Jose Valle, president of Univision Radio.
 
“Cesar’s programming expertise, leadership and excellent management skills will greatly enhance our ability to meet our goals in this competitive radio market,” said Valle. “We know that Cesar’s vast experience and strategic vision will be great assets as we continue serving our listeners in Dallas with the content they desire.”
 
Before his current role, Cesar was responsible for Radio Programming and Operations in Chicago and Programming Strategies in the Central Region. He also oversaw the Creative Solutions Department serving Univision Radio local, national and network sales. Prior, Cesar worked as a Programming Director for KHOT-FM in Phoenix and as Production & Assistant Operations Manager for Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation (HBC) in Houston, the precursor to Univision Radio Houston. He joined HBC as a creative writer in 1997. Previously, Cesar served as a Radio Commercial Producer and On-Air Talent at Multimedios Estrellas de Oro (now Milenio) in Monterrey, Mexico.
