Canela Media to premiere “Mi Vida”

Canela Media announced its original project, “Mi Vida,” a new docu-series featuring celebrities’ firsthand accounts of their lives, to premiere on November 10th. The exclusive Canela Original series will feature ten, self-contained episodes profiling Latino celebrities who have become household names, known across multiple generations. Together, the celebrities will share the pivotable and lifechanging moments that have shaped their careers and chronicle their stories through never-before-seen photos, home videos, and archival footage. Nothing will be off the table in this intimate look at celebrities’ lives, including childhood memories before fame, unforgettable red-carpet moments, and firsthand accounts of the truth behind those “ripped from the headlines” moments.

The first five episodes of the docu-series will run in 2022 and will feature Kate del Castillo in the first episode, with four additional episodes releasing weekly before the end of the year. The second part, with five additional episodes, will debut in the first quarter of 2023. In addition to del Castillo, other stars who will be featured in “Mi Vida” episodes include Manolo Cardona, Ludwika Paleta, Jencarlos Canela, Julián Gil, Roselyn Sánchez, Guy Ecker, Gaby Espino, and Danny Trejo.

“We are excited to announce the release of this thoughtful and intimate original project, ‘Mi Vida,’ as part of our ongoing efforts to highlight Latino celebrities like never before, completely unfiltered, for our audiences,” said Jerry Leo, Chief Content Officer of Canela Media. “With projects like these, we continue to prioritize content that resonates with our Latino viewers across multiple generations by presenting familiar faces in an unexpected format.”

The ten-episode series is produced by Canela Media in partnership with JK Media Group. “We are thrilled to share these compelling stories from some of the most celebrated Latino artists in the film and television industry who have graced our screens for years and still have so much more to tell. Canela Media has been a great partner on this project, and we are excited for audiences to hear these amazing stories directly from our line-up of A-list talent,” said Sebastián Jiménez, CEO and Founder of JK Media Group.
