Census 2010 agency assignment UPDATE.

Census Bureau and DraftFCB confirm d exposito & partners new role in the Census 2010 campaign.

According to ThinkMulticultural.com, the following statement from Kendall Johnson, acting head of the Census Bureau’s C2PO (Census 2010 Publicity Office) was issued, “Global Hue Latino (GHL), is still under contract to DRAFTfcb and their removal is not under consideration. D’exposito and Partners are a small business that has been subcontracted to augment the work being done by GHL and to ensure additional reach and coverage into the Hispanic communities. The contract amount has not been decided as it is dependent upon the final division of duties between GHL and D’exposito and Partners.”

Additionally, Nicole Hill – Corporate Communications Manager – DraftFCB issued the following statement from the agency, “As a result of RFPs offering subcontracting opportunities for small businesses, DraftFCB is pleased to announce the addition of d’ exposito & Partners to the Census 2010 Communications Campaign contract. d’exposito will work along side GlobalHue Latino to reach and motivate Hispanics to participate in the 2010 census. Draftfcb looks forward to the combined efforts of GlobalHue Latino and d’exposito to ensure that all Hispanic audiences participate in the 2010 Census.”

Neither the Census Bureau nor DraftFCB gave an explanation as to why d exposito & partners was hired to complement the Census 2010 efforts.

Executives at d exposito & partners have yet to return calls.
