December 31, 2011
Latinum Network announced that it has hired former Procter & Gamble executive Ida Chacon as Vice President of Marketing and Commercial Solutions. In this newly created role, Chacon will lead a team of experts that will work with each one of Latinum’s more than 75 corporate clients to develop marketing solutions. She will also leverage the network’s reach and access to fuel commercial collaboration initiatives amongst the brands and companies inside the network.
Chacon joins Latinum with more than 13 years of experience in multicultural marketing and brand management. Prior to joining Latinum Network, Chacon led Procter & Gamble’s Center of Expertise, where she was responsible for defining and deploying P&G’s overall ethnic strategy, managing creative advertising agency relationships and consulting on specific brands and projects.
“I am excited to join the Latinum Network which I believe is a top-notch, unparalleled capability for companies trying to reach this important market segment,” Chacon said. “I feel this is the right next step on what has now become a life project for me – serving the U.S. Hispanic market.”
“I am delighted to welcome Ida to the Latinum family. We conducted an extensive search for the right leader whose experience would have a transformative impact on Latinum’s client’s efforts in marketing to the U.S. Hispanic consumer,” said Latinum co-founder David Wellisch. “Ida was uniquely positioned to fit the bill. Her profile and comprehensive set of experiences working with more than 40 of P&G’s brands over the last 13 years will be instrumental in Latinum’s evolution.”
