Chavez promoted to Sr. VP of Interactive for Univision.

Univision Communications Inc. announced the appointment of Jesus Chavez to senior vice president of Interactive for Univision Television Group (UTG). He will continue to be based in Dallas and will report to Kevin Cuddihy, president of UTG.
 
“Jesus is the ideal person to lead this important position for our Company and we are thrilled to have someone with his experience in our Univision family,” said Cuddihy. “We are confident that his leadership and unique understanding of the local stations as well as their changing needs will help drive the growth of our local operations.”
 
Chavez will drive strategy and development on the interactive offerings for the Station Group overseeing all local online and mobile efforts across the UTG footprint. Prior to this, he served as vice president and general manager of Local Interactive Media. He joined Univision in 2005 as an executive trainee working in various roles directly with the president of Univision Radio and then as general manager of Univision Radio McAllen. Earlier in his career, he worked for several companies such as DirecTV, CDI Engineering and Accenture.
